Saxophon Quartett “Stadtwind”
Für „Stadtwind“ haben sich drei Schulfreunde neu zusammengefunden. Nach vielen Jahren, Tourneen und Musikprojekten entdeckten sich die Saxophonisten Birgitta Flick, Juliana Kohl und der MVler Felix Falk wieder und formten gemeinsam mit Linda Gerull das Quartett „Stadtwind“.
Das Ensemble versteht es wie kein anderes, den einzigartigen Saxophonklang in seiner ganzen Bandbreite zum Strahlen zu bringen. In ihrem aktuellen Programm verbinden sie mitreißende Jazz-Klassiker mit kammermusikalischen Fugen und gefühlvollen Eigenkompositionen von Birgitta zu ganz besonderen Konzertabenden. Ein Großteil der Werke stammt dabei von Komponisten wie Rolf von Nordenskjöld, Nicolai Thärichen oder Niko Schäuble.

Stadtwind” Saxophone Quartet
“Stadtwind” was the result of the reunion of three school friends. After many years, tours and musical projects, saxophonists Birgitta Flick, Juliana Kohl, and Felix Falk with his roots in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania reconnected and, together with Linda Gerull, formed the “Stadtwind” quartet.
The ensemble knows better than any other how to bring out the full brilliance of the saxophone’s unique sound across its’ entire range. In its’ current program, “Stadtwind” combines rousing jazz classics with chamber music-fugues and Birgitta’s soulful original compositions to create an exclusive concert experience. Great part of the program consists of compositions by composers such as Rolf von Nordenskjöld, Nicolai Thärichen, and Niko Schäuble.
