Marco Bertoluzzi & ARCO
Marco Bertoluzzi ist Jazztrompeter, der seine Wurzeln in Kolumbien und den USA hat. Seinen Bachelor hat er in Saarbrücken und Mailand abgeschlossen und studiert seit Oktober 2025 im Master in Mannheim.
Sein Quartett ist ein Zusammenschluss leidenschaftlicher Musiker, die sich der Vielfalt des Jazz verschrieben haben. Gemeinsam mit Jonas Maurer an der Gitarre, Maximilian Preis am Kontra-/E-Bass und Jan Hauf an den Drums, bringt die Gruppe eine frische Perspektive auf die Jazzszene.
Die Band präsentiert Eigenkompositionen, welche Einflüsse aus Hard Bop, Latin und Contemporary Jazz aufgreifen und zu einem spannenden Klangerlebnis verbinden. Zusammen haben sie bereits zahlreiche Jazzclubs in Deutschland mit ihren expressiven Auftritten begeistert, die von persönlichen Erfahrungen und tiefen Emotionen geprägt sind.
Außerdem wird es bald ihr erstes Live-Studio Album “Impressions” auf allen Plattformen zu hören geben.

Marco Bertoluzzi is a jazz trumpeter with roots in Colombia and the United States. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Saarbrücken and Milan and has been pursuing a master’s degree in Mannheim since October 2025.
His quartet is a collaboration of passionate musicians dedicated to the diversity of jazz. Together with Jonas Maurer on guitar, Maximilian Preis on upright/electric bass, and Jan Hauf on drums, the group brings a fresh perspective to the jazz scene.
The band presents original compositions that draw on influences from Hard Bop, Latin, and Contemporary Jazz, combining them into an exciting experience. Together, they have already captivated numerous jazz clubs across Germany with their expressive performances, shaped by personal experiences and deep emotions.
In addition, their first live studio album, “Impressions”, will soon be available on all platforms.

Songbird and the High Four ist eine fünfköpfige Formation aus Saarbrücken, die sich zwischen den Zeiten bewegt – rückwärtsgewandt genug, um das Erbe des Jazz und der großen Songwriting-Tradition zu kennen, und mutig genug, daraus etwas unverwechselbar Eigenes zu machen. Zeitgenössischer Jazz, mit Pop- und Funk-Einflüssen, spricht die Jazztradition in einer modernen Sprache. Ein neuer alter Klang – Musik, die ihrer
Geschichte nicht entflieht, aber in ihr nicht verweilt.
Warm, tiefgründig, lebendig – und immer auf der Suche nach dem Moment, in dem etwas Altes zum ersten Mal erklingt.

Songbird and the High Four is a five-piece ensemble from Saarbrücken that moves between eras – looking back far enough to honor the legacy of jazz and the great songwriting tradition, yet bold enough to forge something distinctively their own from it. Blending contemporary jazz with pop and funk influences, they articulate the jazz tradition in a modern language. It is a sound that feels both new and old – music that acknowledges its history without getting stuck in it.
Warm, profound, and vibrant – always in search of that moment when something familiar resonates as if heard for the very first time.
